Pheasant tails are remove tails from all pheasants during the skinning/taxidermy process to prevent tearing while the pheasant pelts are going through the washing/decreasing process. Tails are once again removed (with wire attached to tail base) from the mounts (foam) body prior to shipping (to prevent damage). Directions are included with the mount as to how to simply re-install the tail (quick and easy to do).
Game birds are chosen from licensed game farmers/breeders.
